How i can add an old turn table

I am trying to find out how i can add an old turn table to a newer digital receiver. i understand the output of the turntable is analog and not compatible with digital inputs. the turn table is a Technics SL-Q200 and the receiver i am thinking of using is a Denon AVR-982

You'll will need a peamp device to boost the audio level of the record changer. preamps are still available try radio shack, they use to have one for about 40dls, but connect the turntable to an available input, something you are not using(aux) run a test with a record, you should be able to listen to the record but with a very low audio level, if you don;t then forget about the preamp and you'll need a a/d conversion device.

Have a technics SHGE70 and trying to hook it up to a sony STR-K660P. the receiver has a red and white rcs for dvd audio in and red and whitre video audio in. thats all the rca outlets it has. i unhooked...

Are you implying this used to be hooked up and working? Or are you asking how to integrate the EQ NOW after a move?

Normally the receiver would have a defeatable external loop for Tape recording. THAT is where the EQ or any other processor would go.

If you wanted to Equalize a single external analog source you would have to connect the EQ Line output to either of the two analog inputs ("DVD" or "Video" in your case) and connect your external source to the Playback jacks on the EQ.

How can i hook a eq to this reciever to play through all my components not just the tape or cd player?? I was told jumpers but i am not sure on this

I assume you have it connected traditionally in the Tape loop and understand how that works. ANY 2-channel analog source will work with the EQ engaged.
I'm guessing you have digital sources you want to process. Ain't gonna happen. See page 19 of the manual. Note at the bottom.

Hello: I just purchased a DBX 128 and have no idea how to connect it up. I would like to listen to my records as well as tape using the expansion mode. However, it seems like it only hooks up to my tape...

Low volume

Most of the newer receivers do not have PHONO inputs. You would have to use external pre-amp with the turntable.
