Red light timer/display is flashing. there is a click by no picture
When I turn on the TV I hear the click sound and the TV powers up. Immediatly the red (standby) light begins to flash 6 times on and off. this happenes only in the morning, but after 5:00PM when youturn on the TV as if nothing is wrong.
what is the problem?
There is sound however no picture, just a black screen. The red light on the front of the tv is blinking. It is a Sony Trinitron.

I have the same problem - no pictue and the red timer light is blinking. The sound is great and you can change channels.

I have tried all of the different video inputs. I have tried leaving the TV on for an hour or so, I have tried unplugging the TV and waiting a day. What should I do?
Same problem after a power outage.
Bing. Right at 10:30 pm my tv went black. No picture... yes it had sound.
Unplugging did not help.
