1. Backup your data first. 2. While holding the red hang-up key, click the reset button. Keep holding the red key until after the progress bar completes and the Palm logo shows. 3. You are then asked if you are really sure - Pressing the up key at this point completes the hard reset.
its prob'ly caused by an app which is not fully compatible with palm os.... remove your mem.card, and sim then, hard reset... thats what i did, my treo 650 kept on restarting after i installed gizmo.... try it and get back to me....
The Centro and Treo are virtually identical. Have you tried reinstalling the applications from scratch on the Centro (vs. relying on Palm synch to automatically synch all applications)?
palm os is a flash rom built into the device, the only way your going to be able to do this (which will risk the device itself and i highly recommend NOT doing) is if you can get your hands on a flash tool to flash the ROM with your version of pocket pc os. i have never seen it done, but there are rumors that a palm treo 670 has windows mobile 2003SE on it. i just wouldnt recommend doing it because you could and probably will make your device useless and therefore will have to replace it. anyway, i strongly recommend you to not do this unless you are really good with computers
