Jerry, If its smooth on the back cover, you have to pry it off carefully. Get a magnifying glass and look around the cover edge, there should be a small under cut. Pry at this point with a penknife blade or similar. If the cover has 6 or 8 small indentations in it then it likely unscrews but you may still need to see a watch shop for the tool to unscrew it.
Fossil watches have a 2 year warranty so if its inside this, take it to a dealer.

Your watch is Chronograph watch and the big centre seconds hand is for chronograph function only - not day to day seconds counting. Check the small dials and you will see that the small seconds hand is already counting seconds- this small one is seconds counter. To engage chrono hand push the upper push button once. To stop it - push the same button again. to return to zero- push lower button. mcdevito75 here, Easiest way is to see your local jeweler, try a small watch repair shop over the larger fancy shops that will charge a lot.

I have the same watch Fossil FS-4127 and I too can't find a replacement band. Appears to be planned obsolesence by Fossil. This FixYa site is almost as bad as Fossil, which is all advertisements and no answers whatsoever.

Be sure it is genuine as the Fossil watches are not in that league to make fakes. Even fake watch manufacturing needs a significant money investment,so, expectations for quick turnaround and investment recovery are common. This would not be possible with fake Fossil watches as the average price is about £70 for original and this is comparably low price in watch market.
Don't be scared away by this- Fossil is good brand: they just using cheap labor and parts, at the same time offering good looking and quality watches to masses.
