EE 2 usually has to do with the fuel. Does the heater make a loud ticking or thumping sound? That's the sound the fuel pump makes when its not getting any fuel. Check your filter, check the strainer in the fuel sump. Depending on how cold it is any water in the fuel line could be frozen blocking the fuel flow. You might also check the flame rod for soot. It can be cleaned with some steel wool.([email protected])

Toyostove Laser 73 heater will not run, and the low/med/hi lights flash on and off?

Remove front grille by taking out two screws at lower right and left front sides of stove. slightly pull botom front of grille toward you and lift up and off. Look for two red wires going into burner chamber, the wires will be incased in a gray plastic sheath as they enter chamber. Push on buton like you are trying to start the heater. While it is going through start up process hold the gray plastic sheath with two fingers and see if the sheath does not get warm in a short period of time the igniter is bad and will need to be replaced. This can be cause by water getting into the burner chamber and causing the igniter to crack.

Laser 73 will not have ignition , it has fuel it start with a green light and in about 3 to 4 mintues the fan start to run then i get a error 2

ee 2 is the code for no ignition. This can be caused by a dirty fuel filter or dirty fuel strainer. The flame rod may need to be cleaned. The igniter may be burned out. Could also be a circuit board problem. If the fuel pump makes a loud ticking or thumping noise then it is a fuel flow problem and I would check the filter and strainer first. When checking the flame rod be sure to unplug the heater first.

Yoyostove laser 73 ee-2 keeps coming up which i know is missed ignition, but after a few times of missing ignition the k-1 leaks from the bottom of the heater what needs to be done about this problem?

Sounds like your igniter may have burned out. You can test the igniter with an ohmmeter. You can also check for voltage on the circuit board where the igniter connects. Don't try to start it again until you check the igniter because unburnt kerosene will just keep building up in the burner. Let me know if you need more help.

I have a Toyostove Lasr 73 which started complaining of an EE 2 (ignition failure) on startup just this morning. The fuel lifter seems to be working and I can smell a bit of kerosene in the heater, so I...

An EE 2 message can mean 2 things
Ignition never happened or unit did not sense flame
You should see the Igniter glow through the peep window during
pre-heat, easy er to see with front cover off.
If you do see a glow and flame happens, but unit still errors out.
Try to clean flame rod sensor.
Unplug unit.
Single white wire going to burner pot. (pull straight down)
2 screws hold a plate
Turn sensor to 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock position
pull sensor out easily
Clean sensor with sandpaper- down to shiny metal
Good Luck

EE 8 code on TR-73 toyostove!

If you can't get rid of the EE8 message and you think the motor is really turning it may be turning too slow. This will be caused by corrosion that has dripped down into the blower and gotten on the Rev sensor. The solution is to change the motor. If you are not handy with tools you may have to just change the whole blower. The motor is around $150, the whole blower is $350. The corrosion may have happened over the summer and fall.Heating and cooling causes condensation and the water drips down into the blower.

Toyostove L-73

I have used #2 in the summer. I have been told the difference between 1 and 2 is 1 has an additive so it won't free. I would use oil meant to be used as heating oil because it should be lower in sulfer.

How long has it been since you've cleaned your stove? If it's been a while the flame sensor (the part with the metal rod) may be building up a chain of carbon blocking the igniter from igniting the flame. A temp fix is to jiggle the sssensor but what is needed is a cleaning. Also you may need a new burner ring. That solved my problem last winter.

Toyostove Laser 30 has error code EE 22

EE-22 means that the unit has tried three times to ignite. after this it goes into a "lockout" condition. remove the power and the computer will reset itself. it will then try to re-ignite. check for a fuel blockage, dirty filter etc. if there's water in your kerosene it will not fire! kerosene floats on top of water. bleed your system until you get kero and no water. use a gas additive to remove water. dry-gas will work. just empty the bottle's contents into your tank. on your computer type in toyostove error codes. this will take you to toyo's site and explains the error codes.
