Hi I think you have two problems right now one of them is the lamp, if you replaced it 3 years ago.
two the ballast board I think that your ballast has gone bad and it is not sending enough energy to maintain the lamp on and that is the reason it turns off and on.
At this point I would have to say replace the lamp and the ballast and your TV will be working just fine

If you hear clicking or like wanting to turn on it could be the board that powers the lamp it's called the ballast.Here's the instructions to replace it :http://www.fixyourdlp.com/guides/samsung/bp47-00033a.php But if you don't hear any strange noises,tv is around 6000 hrs,2-4 yrs it could be time to replace the lamp.The lamp you need is XL-2200.Have a blessed one!

Symptom shows Lamp is not working and either lamp or its drive board is bad that will be replaced.
Did you replaced lamp in tv recently?
If not, replace it. Lamp replacement procedure would be written in user manual.

Lamp is getting weak and TV shuts off and turns on itself because of weak lamp in TV that you see picture and sound fades away for some time until TV reboots.
Replace lamp in TV to solve this issue. Lamp replacement procedure is written in user manual and its an easy work.
Please buy Sony original lamp for your Tv safety.

Hopefully it's still under warranty or you purchased an extended warranty. My concern is that it is either a power supply issue or a lamp ballast issue. If it has overheating in the past then there may be other issues going on.
Would suggest bringing it into a good trusted service shop.
