My sound stopped working on my tv. it is a philips tv. It is not a flat screen. I was watching tv and the sound was working fine. I cut it off. Then unplugged it. Moved it to a different without dropping it. when i plugged it up the sound didn't work. tried to adjust the sound setting and cut mute on and off. nothing works.

It could be the audio circuit faulty, either the IC or other parts - pls send to a service center.

I'm getting the exact same thing with a 26" model. First I found AV2 started carrying AV1's input so we put a switch in. Then it starts to shut off with the twice blinking light after viewing the scart input for a while. I'm currently trying feeding it scart set to composite rather than RGB to see if it'll stay on. One other thing - I just got a oneforall remote. I don't suppose you did - in case that is triggering something?

People are reporting a fault with the "painter" chip which is terminal usually. But that seems to manifest as the tv switching to scart input spontaneously. I haven't seen that.

if you have back ground of tv repair, remove back cover but you need tools and tester, check heater line from crt ckt board going to horizontal section.
