Sunbeam heating pad no longer heats. The red

Sunbeam heating pad no longer heats. The red light on high temperature just blinks and I can't click any other temperature. It's not that old. The heating pad model is CAT93, Controller model SW114. Thanks for any help you can give me.

I have a CAT93 heating pad with a SW104 controller that does the same thing. Have not found a solution yet, besides throwing it away and purchasing a new one as has been suggested.

I had same issue w/ red blinking light on my Sunbeam controller SW114, pad CAT93. Was about to toss away but then got it to work perfectly by doing this:1. With unit UNplugged, press & hold the single grey controller button2. While pressing the controller button, plug the unit inUnit will power up in the 'warm' (green light) setting; pressing the controller button will cycle you thru the others modes.

Thank you VERY much. I had the same problem and had the controller apart and was checking components until I found your answer. It is working now even though it still emits a strong electronic/chemical odor (It did this from the time it was new). Every time there is a very short power interruption the controller goes into the flashing mode, Usually, I could unplug it and plug it back in to get it working again. This time it only returned to normal when I pressed and held the power button as I plugged it back in.

Why is My heating pad flashing F it's not that old. I've tried in many outlet, but still does it

Hello, Pat -

You have not stated the manufacturer name of your heating pad. Knowing that will help in providing you the right information.

I have found complaints about a Sunbeam King Size XpressHeat heating pad, with statements from the owners about an F appearing on the temperature display for the heating pad and the pad no longer heating.

In case yours is a Sunbeam King Size XpressHeat heating pad, see the complaints here:
https://www.sunbeam.com/pain-relief/heating-pads/sunbeam-king-size-xpressheat-heating-pad/002013-511-MASTER.html
Scroll down the page to see the Reviews.

I hope you saved the instructions which came with your heating pad and the sales receipt. The pad may still be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Most companies require a copy of the sales receipt when an owner needs warranty coverage.

You can add more information by choosing Comment and typing in details (maker and model number) for your heating pad.

Best wishes.

Have heating pad model 818-7. blinking red light for high when connected- but no heat. what to do. I love this soft, terry cloth hour glass heating pad controller model number: SW204. e12107 is also on...

I had this problem with a heating pad too. I tried turning it off, unplugging it, then plug it back in and see if the light is still blinking. If it's not, set it to the temp you want. My heating pad was very temperamental that way, it didn't want to be set before it was plugged in. I hope this works for you.

Sunbeam Heating pad will not reset

I have a Sunbeam heating pad with the SW204 controller that the High light blinks when it is plugged in. I called Sunbeam and the first thing they said is it cannot be plugged into a surge protector. Next, to reset it unplug it from the wall, then unplug the controller from the heating pad. Wait 30 seconds, then plug the controller back into the heating pad and then into the wall. It did the trick. However, when I move it to the bedroom plug it does the same blinking. Sunbeam is sending me a replacement heating pad. They appear to be very good with Customer Service since it is more than a year old.
