    http://www.userdrivers.com/Notebook-Tabl...
You need to install the library first.

The first thing you need to do
is install the most recent release of Sony's DLLs. These are what
drives most of Vaio's system services and utilities. The latest Sony
        Utilities
DLL (at time of writing) is v7.1.00.15150.

        Install these Sony Utilities
DLLs v7.1.00.15150 on your Windows 7 computer and reboot.

        Now, install the latest Sony
Vaio Event Service. This is the program that enables your Vaio function
keys. The Event Service which works for Windows 7 is version
        3.1.00.14130.

        Reboot your Vaio computer and
        voila!

    3. SONY DLL Utils (From Utilities Folder)

    5. SONY Shared Library (From Utilities Folder)

    6. Reboot

    7. Sony Power Management (From Utilities Folder)

I have this same problem. My problem is, I keep reading people say to install Sony Utilities DLLs v7.1.00.15150. Where is this file though. When I go to the Sony drivers website and put in my model #, the drivers they provide don't include this. They just provide an update to the Utilites. I've also done a web search and not found it.

Have a Sony Vaio VGN-C21S laptop. I upgraded it from Windows Vista to Windows 7 Ultimate. Now, my AV Mode and other shortcut buttons for volume, camera, etc. are not working. What driver should I download...

Perform a Windows update first to see if there are updates to correct the drivers. Then if any drivers are still missing, go to the Sony website and locate the Windows 7 drivers for your computer model.

I have a sonyt vaio-cr120e and i installed windows 7 on it. When i did this i tried to update drivers but i couldn't find any for windows 7. Most stuff works with vista drivers but things such as the av...

Windows 7 requires the drivers be updated or at least compatible with Windows 7....so if Sony has not written the drivers for your machine yet, they probably won't and those devices will not work under Win-7.

If you call Sony's customer service or support line and complain to them, they may provide you with a work-around that will get them back operational again.

I installed windows 7 and now my function keys don't work

You need to install the drivers, windows does not recognize these additional buttons until the proper drivers are loaded. Depending on manufacturer windows 7 drivers may or may not be available. Microsoft did something smart with windows 7 by allowing you to use windows vista drivers in windows 7. So if there are no win 7 drivers just download and install the vista drivers. Good luck!
