Need new motor for Patton High Velocity Air Circulator Model G-1272, 110 current. After about 27 years, the motor quit. This fan is a wall mount behind my wood/coal stove facing the stove pipe. It has 3 speeds and moves the air to the opposite side of the house which is needed in below zero weather. The fan has no plastic parts and is mounted with a "bicycle handlebar" design: a V with bend edges to attach the fan. The fan size between the screws is 14.5 inches.

Do you know where I can get a replacement knob that goes on the back for low, medium and high setting? It came off when I was moving and is difficult to turn without it (i use a screwdriver at the moment).

SOURCE: Looking to replace Patton fan motor, model 1010mp, style TJ74SP

If you are up to disassembling your motor, you will find a thermal cutout near the windings which frequently fails open. Replacements are readily available, or just jumper it out. If the bearings are shot or the windings burned you're out of luck. Trust me, a new motor will cost more than a whole new fan.

SOURCE: patton air circulator motor cuts on and off, used

I would recommend that you replace your fan. It sound like you got good use out of it. A good fan for you may be the Lasko 3900. Not only will it circulate the air but it will filter it also and the filter is easily replaceable. Here is a link to Amazon where you can check it out.

I hope this helps you.

Patton 20 inch high velocity floor fan. I need a motor and capacitor wiring diagram please.

Question edited for clarity.

This appears to be a Walmart, Amazon, eBay special without a maker website which usually means made in China and sold in bulk. There is limited help here and some videos. Motor and Capacitor wiring all works to the same diagram.

Very old Patton floor fan for residential use, doesn't start up when hot? But works well when cold. It's the "High Velocity Air Circulator" Is there a fix?

Sounds like the bearings are seized up and when it's cold the bearings loosen up a little. Try shooting a little WD40 on all the shafts where they turn. I feel this fan is on it's way out.

I want a new motor for the patton 20'' cvt air fan

You can generally find new motors at an electric motor shop, check the yellow pages. However they are many times more money than a new fan. Then add time and your drive to get the motor, my recommendation is purchase a new fan, cheaper in the long run.
