This in dash has a lot of problems. first problem is that it freezes up and will not play. second is that it spits from song to song when you store this on the hard drive, and no it is not on random neither. and when you try to use the dvd hdd to play your movies the screen just stays black or the screen just shows blue with the words pioneer writing on the screen. i look up this model on the internet and alot of people was claim to have t the same problem and that pioneer will not insure an dstand behind there product. why not and if you have a product on the market that is having so much problem, why turn your back on people that buy your product all the time? and i have the same problem, pioneer is a great product but i would like it to work not be a rip off! $2999 at this price everything should work.

I had all the same problems, i followed the instructions off the pioneer website and haven't had problems since. thanks gunnster!
Have you guys tried the FW upgrade on Pioneer's website. It worked for me. Goodluck!

it doesnt work its frozen on the main screen the rear view camara works and when the ipod is connecet it reads the radio but the head unit does nothing what can i do to fix it !?

Same problem here. Started about 4 months ago. I have to turn off the ignitition and restart. Sometimes it comes back on on the first or second try.
I will try the FW update mentioned. Hope it works.
