Can be as simple as a Battery (dirty contacts). If not, have the watch cleaned and serviced accordingly.

that hated they should have replaced the battery for you at least. you can go to most pharmacies, jewelers, grocery stores, ace hardware or target and ask them if they could test your battery. Radio Shack for sure has the way to test your battery. as far as the stones falling out unless this was a high end watch, I would request to speak to a manager at Macy'y.

Take it in for servicing. There's nothing you can do to fix this. There's something going on with the movement.

If your watch stopped working while changing the time it can be for a couple of reason . One is i never set the watch between the hours of 11 pm and 4 am or else your movement can be damaged. The main reason is usually that the watch crown was not pushed all the way in to the first set . If the watch crown and stem is pulled out and not in the start position the watch will not run. Also after setting time you might need to reengage the watch by pressing on the jumper buttons on the top side of the crown they look like push buttons.

My watch maker friends have told me that generally speaking, the reason most self wind mechanical watches stop is: (1) they need cleaning or (2) the screw that holds counter weight in the watch (that actually does the winding) comes unscrewed. He said most of the watches that have been worked on by the customer have lost the screw.

My advice remains have your watch looked at professionally.

1st reason. This means your oscillating weight and paired gears are not generating enough power to charge capacitor, thus not be able to move hand properly. 2nd reason. Capacitor can not recharge itself to full power and needs to be replaced. 3 reason. Seconds or chrono wheel has a mechanical fault developed over the time and needs to be cleaned or replaced. Those are 3 reasons why the seconds hand stops moving in Kinetic watch. Which one is right, you will find out only after visiting watch repair shop, because I can not give correct estimate without seeing the watch myself.
