I am also getting the same problem. The only thing the camera does is open the lens panel and closes immedeately, indicating dead battery even if it is new. So only solution i find hitherto for clicking pics is hold the lens panel when it opens up after u turn the camera on in a manner to halt its closure in-between. then next time u turn the camera on, it will not indicate dead battery.

Camera turns on, runs for 30sec.to minute and turns off, batteries good.

In the camera are sensors too. if the camera becomes to hot, inside it all can switch off. And what to you looks like a good battery, can be one on the end of its life. This can cause the voltage to drop to fast, causing the camera to shut down.

Wont power up ,kodak easyshare c360

Please make sure that you're using fully charged battery
Remove the battery, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds and then reinsert the battery..
Try using a different battery to check whether the issue is with the battery..
You may also check the battery poles using a multimeter to confirm this if you do not have access to a different battery..
If the issue persists, service may be required.
Thanks for understanding.

Camera suddenly stopped working--an error message flashed, then camera shut off-put new battery in--nothing happens. (kodak c360)

Usually when the camera shows an error mgs. it needs a repair
However Here are the steps:

1. Make sure you will install a new or fully charged battery/batteries into your camera.Pls. use lithium batteries Ni-Mh or rechargeable Batteries (2000 M.Amp or higher).
2. Clean the battery contacts.
a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth.
b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera
3. Without the memory card, turn on your camera.

We have a C663 and C360 Kodaks. Both doing same

This problem is frequently the result of corroded battery contacts inside the camera. Remove the batteries and wipe the inside camera contacts with a soft cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a fine wire brush, steel wool, or fine sandpaper). Make sure there's no cleaning residue left inside the camera, then clean the battery contacts and reinstall the batteries. If this doesn't solve the problem you may have something more serious wrong with camera and I recommend checking the Kodak troubleshooting guide at:

http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/repair/troubleshooting/troubleshooting.jhtml?pq-path=6198

It uses a simple Q&A format do diagnose problems and attempt to find a solution.

Why won't my digital camera take a picture?

One of the following steps should solve the problem: Press the shutter button all the way down. Make sure that the camera is not in Favorites mode. Turn the camera off and then on again. Insert a new or charged battery. Wait until the AF/AE indicator turns green before attempting to take another picture. Transfer pictures to the computer, delete pictures, change the image storage location, or insert another memory card.

My digital camera shut off. Is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong with your camera. The camera has an automatic, power-saving feature that helps extend battery life. This features turns off the LCD or camera power when the camera has been inactive for a given period of time.
