This is the type of repair that should be done by a qualified service person.

My peavey amp pv 2600 only plays on channel A. No output on the B side

Hello,

Check the "BRIDGE" switch position, "IN" for "BRIDGE", "OUT" for "STEREO", and clean ALL back switches with a cleaning spray and then run the amp again, also check the two green lights activation at front, if they activate, then amp is certainly working, let me know further.

Why my amp is protecting after 4 hours

Soft start relay circuitry fail, take apart the top plate and when you turn the amp on check for a "Click" in the power supply relay, if not there's your issue.

One side stopped workig on my 2600 amp, so i am running thru center out put. now sound fades up and down.

Hi,

Please be advice that the center output connector is only for BRIDGE mode operation, you should not use that way, try to clean all the back switches with a cleaning solution spray, clean all switches and check amp functionality again in stereo mode.

I have 2 peavey 2600 amps with 1 pv6 mixer wanting to run subs off 1 amp and sp2s off other amp but only have 1 main output on the pv6 mixer whats my solution

Hi there,
you can run one amp from the main out puts and the second amp from the CTRL Room out puts. The CTRL ROOM are outputs that are linked to the same bus as the master fader. This will work fine...
Best of luck

I have Peavey Pv 2600 Power Amplifier ,the B side did not work sound did not come

One side of the amp has failed and repair is NOT DIY. Take it in for servicing. This amp has many components in the power amp and repair is complicated. A failure can lead to 20 components being damaged. Failure to replace all damaged ones can result in immediate failure destroying the replaced ones.

Do you know what regulator/ rectifiers are used and their numerical values so i can repair my fried pv 2600 these are the row along heat sink small black ones 2 pin and 3 pin cheers

7815 and 7915 plus and minus regulators specifically. Diodes fr the 15 supplies are 1N4001 but you can use 1N4007 or anything in between.

Big power rectifiers are 2504's... which are probably 25 amp 400 volt modules.

Peavey amp shut down

The output stage has a problem. From your description, I'd guess that the high voltage supply has failed. The low volume and distortion suggests that you are trying to power the speakers from the driver section rather than the outputs. There is a resistor that fails in some of this series. If I remember correctly it is either a 2K or 3K resistor 10 watts in size. If you have no experience with repairs, I'd seek a service shop that is familiar with these units. The part runs between $5-$10.

I have a 2600 peavey amplifier and when i turn the volum up it cuts off for about 2-3 seconds what i need to do

check that the cooling fans are working. if they are not then you are probably triggering the thermal overload protection.

No output on the right side of the peavey 2600 amplifier but the right is ok

Each channel is protected separately. I suspect that the outputs are fried on the right side or the output fuse has blown. This should be checked by a service shop.
