I have seen several LG plasma that have a pink picture and everytime it has been a failed control pwb. This bd is located under the assembly that houses the main digital bd. The main dig. bd is the one with all of the inputs.

Pink screen on sumsung LCD

Likely to be a bad main board that processes all signal and controls the display panel for tuner and all inputs---other possible boards not likely as they do not know when a DVD etc is being played or not.

Not out of the realm of being possible is a bad connection or loose plug to or from the main board---especially look for any that are secured or held down with tape where they plug into that board.

No blue colors projected on screen

Only a few causes for this problem. "Splotches" are usually caused by dust in the light engine which can sometimes be blown out using compressed air. Pink picture is caused by either data or burnt lcd card. Procedure for data is: put tv to ch. 3 and turn power off. simultaneously press input and power on set for three seconds to access service menu. Be very careful not to change settings other than what needs changed. These adjustments are changed using directional arrows. Navigate to "memory init" then hold (r) arrow button for 5 seconds. You will know if it worked. Then exit and/or turn set off. Please let me know if this is successful as I have additional info you may need. Good luck, Russmann.

Screen turning pink

If the pink overlay goes away gradually, you could have weak picture tubes (CRT's) If the color jumps in after warming up, it could be a bad solder connection. If you haven't had a good picture to watch for a long time, I would be tempted to put the money towards a new HDTV set as those older Mitsubishi Rear Projection TV's had a Lot of bad solder connections in the past, and by fixing one problem another could crop up in the near future.
