You can change the settings under printing preferences, just follow the steps below:
1 With a document open, click File > Print. 2 Click Properties, Preferences, Options, or Setup. 3 Navigate to: Advanced tab > 2-Sided Printing area > select On Note: To use the settings defined in the printer, select Use Printer Settings. 4 Select either the Side Flip or Top Flip option. Side Flip is the setting most often used. 5 Click OK to close any printer software dialogs. 6 Click OK or Print. To return to single-sided printing, navigate to: Advanced tab > 2-Sided Printing area > select Off
If you have a Canon MG5220 you certainly can print two-sided. I have one and I print two=sided pages. When you bring up your print menu underneath "Orientation" is a small window that likely says "layout". Click that window and you will have various options to choose from; color matching, paper handling, cover page, quality media color options. borderless printing and duplex printing & margin. Choose Duplex & Margin. Once you've clicked that you'll see a check box for duplex printing, click that box. You have other options for for reduced or normal printing (your choice) and then if you're stapling there's options for the side you'd prefer but the point is once you've checked off that box for duplex printing you're set to go.
Firstly ensure that the duplex unit is installed by going to start - Settings- Printers and faxes.
Then right click your printer and select properties. Select the last tab at the end of the properties screen which reads "Option"
Then under the options where you see the Duplex unit option select "Installed" from the drop down menu.Click Apply and OK
Alternately you can insert the ip address of the printer and select the gather option information...
Now for double-sided/duplex printing
1. Open the document you want to print eg: MS Word
2. Click on the "file" menu select "Print"
3. Then Select the printer from the drop down menu
4. Click on the "properties" box next to the printer you selected
5. In the first screen on the "Setup" tab find the Binding option and select at the Print type "DOUBLE SIDED"
6. Click apply and this will enable double sided printing.
7. you can leave the binding position on "Auto"
Go into the advanced settings of the driver and look for the settings that tell the copier what features you have. Make sure the duplex is turned on. Normally I set these up for Windows use and I have one client who uses a Mac and he did show me that the features do exist for the print driver.
Once it is enabled the double sided printer feature should work.
There should be a setting in the 2-sided properties for binding orientation.
For a MAC, do this:
On the File menu, click Print. Open the Two-Sided Printing panel. Select the option to print on both sides. Select the binding orientation by clicking the appropriate icon. Change any other settings, and then click Print.
The double sided printing option relies on Status monitor working correctly. If information cannot travel from the printer to the computer, the option will be greyed out.
Make sure you have a direct connection to the computer without any hubs. If that doesn't work, try the following.
1. Open START, SETTINGS, CONTROL PANEL, PRINTERS 2. Right click on your Epson printer name, and click CANCEL ALL DOCUMENTS. 3. Confirm cancelling all documents. 4. Right click on the Printer again, and select DELETE.
1) Click on START, SETTINGS and CONTROL PANEL. 2) Double click on the SYSTEM folder and select the Device Manager tab. 3) Click on the "+" for "Universal Serial Bus Controller" 4) Right click on "USB Printing Support" and select "Uninstall" and confirm it 5) Disconnect the USB cable and reconnect it.
