I just bought a stainless steel sink and haven't even used it yet even though it was installed a month an half ago. I need to finish the kitchen before I use any of the appliances. I had an electrician putting in recess lighting and I think he might of dropped a cut wire from above the sink and it feel and scratched the interior side of the sink. It is sort of deep I see a brownish color underneath not silver. I polished it with stainless steel cleaner and nothing happens and when I rub my finger over it you can feel it not like an ordinary surface scratch you really just see it not feel it. I do not really want to attempt anything drastic myself and would gladly pay someone to fix it but I can not find any company in southern CT, Stamford, Norwalk, Darien or any surronding areas that advertise fixing stainless steel in sinks. How do I find someone that will be able to get rid of the deep scratch it is a undermount sink. Thank you.
Scratch-B-Gone is the product you are looking for... it takes out scratche, scuffs, stains and it seems, anything else that can happen to stainless steel... it worked great on my fridge and sink. If its a true scratch it can come out and you dont have to do the whole thing.

Have you tried a really fine steel wool? I don't know if this would work. I have stainless steel farmhouse sink, front exposed all stainless steel. My contractor scratched it up horribly when he was putting it into the kichen. he fixed it amazingly with a fine steel wool pad. I don't know if your scratch is too deep for that but it couldn't hurt. The scratches on our sink were surface but very noticeable. Hope this helps.
Try contacting Prime Time Solutions 1-800-333-9525. They have products for all sorts of problems with stainless steel sinks. I called there with my "scratch" problem & their representative, Elaine, who is very knowledgeable, gave me a couple of avenues to take. She even sent me a free small sample of Flitz to try. I liked the product so much I ordered some from her.

That's not good that the scratch is so deep that you see a brown color under the silver. My stainless steel fridge recently got a big scratch on it. It's ugly but less serious than yours. I think that we'll both have to find someone who repairs these types of scratches.https://stainlessrefinishing.com/service...
