Cleaning solution When I press the release button the solution does not come out. What could my problem be?

  • Anonymous Feb 09, 2008

I MISTAKINGLY USED PINESOL AND I THINK THE DISCHARGE TUBE IS CLOGGED. I CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET THE BOTTOM ASSEMBLY APART TO CLEAN OUT THE LOWER END OF THE HOSE. MAYBE THERE IS A SOLVENT THAT WOULD CLEAN OUT THE TUBE.

With mine, the problem was that the drain plug was not being pushed into the solution tank far enough to release the solution. Pushing down on the solution tank while squeezing the trigger in the handle released solution. Since ours is a first generation Floormate, it seems the plastic frame has flexed. I've glued a 1/8 inch piece of plastic to the drain of the solution tank. So far, its working.

Buy a new solution tank. the problem might be that your not rinsing the tank with clear water after use and the soap hardens on the release button of the tank.

The release button is not working

Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.

I'm not sure from your question exactly which release button you mean. If you're trying to empty the clear bin after use, you just need to press the round silver button in front of the red on/off switch. This will release the upper duct so you can remove clear bin and cyclone. You can then press the red bin base release button to empty the bin:

I hope this helps - if you've followed these steps and are concerned that either of the release buttons aren't working, please get in touch directly so we can help further. You can reach us by calling 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).

1) Plug your machine into the power outlet
2) Locate the grey brush bar button next to your power button
3) With the machine turned off, press and hold the brush button down for 10 seconds
4) Release the grey brush button, step on the foot pedal to recline the machine
5) Press the power button to power on the machine

I have a rca universial remote control and I lost the manual and cant program it for my toshiba television I need the code and directions how to program it

Not knowing the code, you'll have to do it using the Automatic Code Search method.

1. Turn the TV ON manually.

2. Press and release the TV button on your remote. The illuminated ON-OFF button will turn on and stay on.

3. Press and hold both the TV and the ON-OFF buttons. The illuminated ON-OFF button will turn off, and then will come back on.

4. Release both buttons after the ON-OFF button turns back on. The button should remain on.

5. Press and release the PLAY button. You may have to do it several times. Be patient.
If the TV does not respond after five seconds, continue to press and release the PLAY button every five seconds until the TV turns off.

6. Just to check the code is right, after the TV turns off, press and release the REVERSE button then wait to see if the TV turns on again.

If that works, you've got it!

Press and release the STOP button to save the new code.

Model 31320 SkyScan Equity Time Clock -- it did not change with DST but I cannot figure out how to manually set the time. Back of clock shows 4 long...

Hi,

You press and release the mode button, then press the adjust button. This is what the instructions say to do. However, I see that you don't have an adjust button listed. I would try pressing and releasing the mode button, then pressing the ZONEDATE button and see if that will do it.

If this works, please place a vote for me. Thanks,

Too much water coming out.

When you press the trigger an angled piece on the end of the plastic rod attached to the trigger pushes valve button in that then releases fluid. On releasing the trigger, the valve button is supposed to be pushed back out by an internal spring. The button gets sticky with evaporated cleaning fluid and does not come back out, causing fluid to continuously run. Try taking the machine outside, fill the tank with very hot water, pull the trigger, and let the clean, hot water flow through the valve. Perhaps it will free up. If not, the valvle will have to be replace. Either way, once it is working, ALWAYS flush the entire system with hot, clean, clear water to remove any cleaning solution in the system or it will only clog again
