My problem is a bit complex... When I tried to add a song to my device (I had 1.4 GB still remaining) it took a ridiculously long time "synchronizing" so I selected the "stop synch" option on my windows media player. This caused the screen on my Mp3 player to freeze with the message "Do not disconnect device" and it did not respond to any of the buttons, play, Home/back, or pwr off/option. I eventually deceided to disconnect it and push the pinhole reset button on the back. That caused a different screen to come up on the player: "Connected USB (MTP) The Timer and Alarm will become Invalid." I have no idea what that means. When hooked up back to the computer, the computer acknowledges the device in the usual way but I am incapable of adding any more songs/files and the device itself will not play or respond when I press any buttons, including the off button. It is stuck on the "Connected USB..." screen. When I push the reset button, it goes black and displays the same screen again when I reactivate it. It seems the root of this problem is the premature cancellation of a synchronization and disconnection, but I have no idea how to fix it. Any advice would be appreciated.

One thing you could try is plug it into the computer. Check one of your hard drive letters that is plugged into. It would be either c,d,e,f whatever. Right click it will give you the properties. Used space ect. If you do a quick format it will erase all the songs including corrupted ones and empty out the files. Often works.

How to install saound card for NEC versa E6200 for

Hi,

First off that notebook is not Windows 7 capable. Here are the WIndows 7 requirements:
  • 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
  • 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
  • 16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
  • DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver.
But, if you want to add a PCMCIA Sound Card you can do that. Just google PCMCIA Sound Card and you'll find a ton that are available.
I might suggest a new laptop.

Thanks Mark

I'm using a 1gb sandisk sd memory card to sync mp3 song on it. THe mp3 songs go on it fine and play on the computer and on the mp3 player ok. The problem is I have about 533mb of space used and have about...

You may have reached the maximum number of files allowed in the root directory of the file system. If you already have a folder on the card, try moving some of the MP3 files into that folder. If you can copy 1 new MP3 file onto the card, that is your problem. Hopefully your MP3 player supports folders!

Songs

a 1 GB MP3 Player will hold roughly 256 songs. This is an Average and will increase or decrease based on the file size of the songs you are trying to add. I used 4 MBs, which is the average song size.

Try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilities from the manufacturer?s website. Make sure that you back your music up first because when you do this you are setting it back to factory settings.

My mp3 took songs off instead of adding.

Hello, I probably can help.

If its *full* its do to Filesystem Partially Corruption.
*BACKUP* all your songs. Then right click the usb device, format, than format in FAT format NOT FAT32 or NOT NTFS! THESE WILL RENDER YOUR DEVICE USELESS! Reload your songs and they should be good-to-go. If not i suggest contacting GPX

Can't copy songs on to SD 2 gig Card in Sansa e250

the card shows up as a separate drive letter, remember that
when the card is in the player, look for the second drive letter in My Computer and add the songs to it not the first; yes the card will show up in your library on the player only after you have unplugged it and restarted the player.
