Frigidaire, Zanussi, AEG, & More....

EFO = Filter Blocked (low flow) and it is accessible from the bottom front of the machine.

1. there is a blockage in the filter or drain hose.takes too long to drain out.
2. over dosing of powder or liquid. again can cause an air lock in the pump which slows the drain pump down.

Check the filter and drain hose and test again. this fault will only come up at the end of a cycle.
You do not need to reset the machine to get rid of the fault code as this is automatically deleted.

Run an empty load with no detergent in an attempt to get rid of the code.

I am getting a EFO then E10 error message after I start a load of clothes...which means I have to cancel the load.

E10/EFO error code is an indication of a slow fill, took to long to fill, no fill or the fill water could be siphoning out the drain hose as it's filling with water.

Check to make sure that the drain hose is not stuck too far down the stand pipe and causing the water to siphon out. Check the cold and hot water supply to the washer for any restrictions. If you have a slow fill remove the hoses from the washer and check for restricted filter screens in the water inlet valve. Check for any restricted hose screens too.

Beep with a display saying EFO

Dear novscorp,
According to the error code chart (a loose insert included with the operating instructions) EF0 means two things: Error 1. Over sudsing  or  Error 2. Hot water does not enter.
For over sudsing, it lists the possible causes as: a high efficiency detergent was not used (the detergent brand will have "he" on it for high efficiency) or too much detergent was added.  The solution lists: Use only a high efficiency detergent.  Follow manufacturer's recommendation for dosage.  Amount may need to be adjusted for water temperature, water hardness, load size and soil level.
For the 2nd error, hot water does not enter, it lists the possible causes as hot water hose is connected to the wrong faucet or hot water faucet is not turned on.  The solution lists: Connect hot water hose to hot water faucet and hot inlet on washer.  Be sure hot water facet is fully opened.
On a personal note, I received the same error when I mixed my detergent directly in with my color safe bleach.  It just caused a lot of suds in the machine.  One rinse cycle solved it.
Hope this helps, Ellenk4

Flashing EFO error code

spoke with electrolux and they tell me that it is over sudsing problem. The washer must use HE detergent or use only a the lowest amount on the cup.

Error messages EFO and E10

It is simple. The wrong soap or too much soap will caused EFO to flash. I overfilled the machine with soap by accident. It started flashing with EFO and I went nuts. What could be wrong with it now?! Too much soap or not the right kind of soap will cause this problem.
Plus, I found a sheet of paper that gives the codes.

This is better than when the strainer plug gets filled up and you have to take the machine apart to clean the little strainer.
