HOTPOINT WASHING MACHINE aq9f49u f05 fault code is coming on

Hello , I have the F05 fault also ... I have changed preasure switch and have checked the pump and no blockage. It goes through half a cycle then the F05 fault comes up and flashing lights .. Question ... should the pump turn freely if you turn it with your finger ?? Mine sort of judders ... Also when you tru it on a wash it does not draw any water in ??? Can you help please ??

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. It generally happens when during the water heating step in the wash cycle, the water temperature sensor value is out of range then the "F05" error code will be displayed on the washer screen. To resolve the issue unplug or disconnect the power of the washer from power socket and mains. Check the water temperature sensor and its connections. If available on the washer you have, check resistance of heating element and replace the components which have gone bad.

Hi I have a hotpoint washing machine model wt761 and it has stopped working, it will not drain. The display is showing an error code F-05. Can you help me please.

You have a blockage not allowing the drum to empty.
Check for blockages via the pump filter and the hoses
F05 means blocked pressure switch
If it still won't work come back to me

Hi. This is a water temperature sensor issue.

If during the water heating step in the wash cycle, the water temperature sensor (NTC) value is out of range, the "F05" error code will be displayed.

Possible Causes / Procedure

1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Check the water temperature sensor. Check connections to the water temperature sensor.
3. Check resistance of heating element, if present on this model. (abnormal = infinity).

Replace any parts that is malfunctioning or defective.

Error code F05 after the start of wash cycle

F05 is a water temp sensor error ,could be a bad heating element, or the temp sensor may be faulty, try checking the connection's to the temp sensor and heating element, also check the element relay.

WD865 Hotpoint - F-05 error

F05 means that the pressure switch is jammed on full.
You need to check the pump is pumping out o/k, and if there is a filter, check and clean.

Fault f05

F05 means pressure switch jammed on full, firstly check that pump is working and that there is no blockage anywhere,
if it still does not work, then you are going to have to call an engineer.

F05 means pressure jammed on full or pump not draining.If pump o/k, then you will neeed to call an engineer.

F05 mwans pressure switch jammed on full, check that pump is working o/k, if it is, and still showing fault, then you will have to call an engineer

Error code F05 means pressure switch jammed on full.
Remove lower rear cover of washer.
Locate and remove large black hose fastened to bottom of drum.
Remove and clean filter inside hose.
Remove hose onto pump, and check for blockage or obstruction here as well.
This should solve the problem.

mate really cant thank you enough f05 code on wie167 tilted machine and emptied it out then laid machine down to get access from underneath removed black pipe using grips and what did i find a chewed up baby sock. put pipe back on stood it back up turned it on and bingo machine fully working as new saving me £250 on a new machine.
gonna try and fix my is70c dryer now as it blowing out cold air
