My son was playing his newly internet connected game black ops, in the middle of the match it said error on disk please eject disk and turn off console. He ejected the disk but the console would not turn...

This sounds like an error with the console that would need a repair from Nintendo. You can send the console to them in order to get it fixed. This usually takes about a month.
If you are more adventurous, however, there is a great guide I will link below that will help you correct the problem yourself. Warning, though, it should not be attempted unless you know what you are doing.

I turn it on with the disk in the gamecube and it goes to the cube screen. Then i look at the disk part of it and it says that there is no disk but there actually is a disk.

No Game Disc:
This error can occur when the Game Disc has been removed while the system is on and then the Disc Cover is closed. Follow these troubleshooting steps:

Ensure the game is inserted correctly. With the power turned off on the system, replace the Game Disc in the system, printed side up. Press down gently on the Game Disc until it locks on the center hub. Close the Disc Cover and press the power button ON to see if the game comes on the screen.

Determine if this happens with more than one game by inserting a different game into the system.

If the error occurs with all games, follow the Multiple Game Disc troubleshooting.

If the error occurs with only one game, follow the individual game disc troubleshooting.

Changed cartridge--now paper gets stops by cartridge carrier. turned on and off, reinstalled cartridge, cleaned roller.

Press the OK button.
- If paper is being fed at error occurrence, the
error is indicated after the paper is ejected.
- If the error occurs, the print head alignment
values are not changed.
- After exit from the error by the OK button,
the automatic print head alignment will not
be re-done.
The error will occur when the print head
alignment pattern is not printed due to no ink
or non-ejection of ink.

Hi,

Try the following options.

1:) Soft Reset:- Press the reset button on the Wii console For 2 seconds.
2:) Hard Reset. :- Unplug The Wii Console For 5-10 Minutes. As once unplugged it resets itself.
3:) use a CD/DVD Based laser head cleaning disk, to remove any dirt/dust from the laser unit.
