I have a whirlpool gold stainless steel side by side refrig that has a 8'gash in it that is fairly deep,how do i repair it?

Whirlpool Gold GB2SHDXPS fridge/freezer has stopped working. It is not cold and food is thawing. The light in the fridge and the freezer is still on but it is not cooling.
can you hear a humming sound coming from the back of the refrigerator, if so that means your compressor is running, if you are hearing a buzz or clicking sound your compressor is trying to start, you may need a compressor. Some whirlpools have a 5 year sealed system warranty that would cover the repair.

Lime Away dripped down my stainless steel refrigerator door and left streaks and they feel like grooves now how do I repair this??
Get a bottle of mineral oil and coat the front of the refrig . Then wipe off , after a few minutes . This will allow the oil to get back into the pours of the stainless steel . You may even want to let sit overnight . By adding mineral oil to the surface ( even permanently ) this will keep fingerprints and other solutions , such as lime away , drinks , food , etc , of the doors , with gentle wiping .

sounds as if you have an ice buildup restricting the fan from moving airflow to the freezer. Inside the freezer take apart the lower shelf and see if this area is full of ice, if so clean it and defrost it.
