I have a model UP2422B wall heater that glows very red when it first comes on and before the fan can kick in and cool it down. Is there a replacement heater available of the same size?

These heater elements should never glow red. The fan should come on at the same time the heater elements get power to heat up. If they turn red, the fan isn't starting fast enough, or is just turning too slow. Think of it like a toaster. They glow red but if you blow on them, they cool down until they aren't red anymore but they are still hot. I have this same heater. In the fan end opposite the fan motor, there is a little brass bushing (bearing) on the fan shaft that's mounted inside a rubber mount. Pop the rubber mount out of the heater housing, clean it up with degreaser and put grease or a heavy duty oil on the shaft and reassemble. If it still turns slow after that, it needs a new fan motor. You can probably match it up with the same motor from McMaster Carr or Grainger for cheaper than from Marley. I hope this helps

Dv55ip empire wall gas furnace, the fan is very loud, needs help what to do.

Buday, it sounds like the blower fan and motor needs cleaning and oiling. This should be done annually and you can do it yourself. This should quite things down a bit.

According to your Owners Manual, here's what you need to do.

Servicing and Oiling the Fan Motor:
The fan motor should be cleaned and oiled once each heating season.
To reach the motor, withdraw the metal shroud surrounding the fan
blade by removing the screws on each side. Oil holes are located
on the top at each end of the motor. Use a few drops of #10 motor
oil. To clean the motor, blow air through its ventilation openings
with a vacuum cleaner or low pressure air source (canned air with a
straw nozzle like you clean your computer with works well).

Is there an external thermostat that can be used for this and there is a vibration noise, any suggestions?

I'm not aware of a wall thermostat for this heater, because it does not have a Millivolt Control. As far as the vibration is concerned, does it just occur when the fan is on? If so the fan or the fan motor may be loose. Or the fan itself is out of balance. As make sure the fan housing is properly attached to a wall stud or studs.

Where is the fuse to the heater fan blower located in my 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix. Owners manual has 3 different fans. Is it the HVAC fuse or one of the 3 fans? The heater fan quit and want to check the...

Hi, should be listed as heater blower motor not fans ,the fans is the ones in front of radiator. most common problems are the blower motor resistor, which is in passenger side compartment near fire wall. This is were your blower motor is also. You can check and see if its getting power to resistor, with a test light if power is at resistor, check and see if you are getting power at blower motor if no power there replace resistor. But if you have power at motor replace blower motor. If i can help further just re post. thanks

I am getting in heat... We know it now the heating core... Do you have any idea what it is

If it isn't the heater coil, then the only things left are the heater fan fuse or the heater fan motor itself. Check your fuses. If you don't have a fuse diagram, start with highest amp fuses first. The heater motor uses a lot of juice and will probably be on at least a 10 amp fuse. If all the fuses are good then you probably need a new heater fan motor. They usually mount to the fire wall from the engine compartment and are pretty easy to change. Not at all like the heater coil.

Food is freezing on left side of refrig and not so cold on right

Check the back wall of the freezer section for any ice buildup. This would be from a failure to defrost and requires parts.
Check the freezer side for the evaporator fan motor. Is the fan motor running?
If not a fan motor is needed.
If there is ice on the back wall of the freezer you can activate the defrost control by turning the cold control thermostat OFF then back ON "3" times.
Once you activate the control listen closely in the freezer side for a sizzling sound. This would indicate the defrost thermostat and defrost heater are good and the defrost timer needs replacing. If there is no sizzling sound after 20 minutes, the defrost thermostat and possibly the defrost heater need replacing.
