CAN YOU ADD A PASSWORD TO PROTECT YOUR DATA STORED ON THE WD PASSORT?

A little program called TrueCrypt can make a flash drive/portable hard drive set up for password protection.
Makers site->http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/517/cpsid_51791.html
Keep in mind that this is not the only one out there, but this is the easiest to set up.
Good luck and do not forget to rate me :)

How can i create a password for an single drive of my system, for example i wanna lock my D drive , How can i lock..?

You can tell windows to disallow access to the drive, but all anyone has to do is 're-allow' access, or even put it on a non-windows computer that understands windows drives, and your lock is gone.

If you really want security, check out the free 'TrueCrypt' program at: http://www.truecrypt.org/

That will allow you to lock the drive, and even have the drive completely hidden until you enter the passphrase.
