I would try connecting a dvd player to one of the HDMI input on the tv to be sure the tv is the problem.Try new HDMI cable 1.3 version. ATT uverse boxes are alway a source of problems and I would assume it was bad before I would condem the tv. If the tv is bad and it is under warranty an authorized servicer will replsce the main board.
the ideal solution is to use a HDMI cable if the player has such an output ...if the player has only RCA out ...so ...use a hybrid cable if you want to use the audio from the monitor... http://www.campus111.com/m00299.html or any kinda cable that will make video connection ...and use the sound on some computer speakers or so... if the player has HDMi the things are ideal ... anyway the monitor suports ...dual HDMI input ...(2 devices at once onthis interface ) ..VGA (monitor like ..clasic...) and DVI ...(digital video interface )... so ...in a way ..no mather how you connect it ..the thing is to have the cable to do the job ...
1. Connect cable to cable HD DVR box, connect video out of cable box to Sony receiver TV video in, connect audio L and R out of cable box to Sony receiver TV audio in and connect TV out of receiver to video in of Panasonic projector
2. Connect Audio and Video out of DVD player respectively to DVD in of receiver. Good Luck :)
Yes you have to use the recommended Uverse codes, and follow the directions to enter the code. Hold the tv button down, on the Uverse remote, then with it stil held down add the OK button, let go of both, then you will see the lights at the top of Uverse remote light up, it is then ready to accept the code, it will be a four digit code, Go to [email protected], and look under TV, then programming the remote is there. Put remote Code in the att search box if you can't find it.
The problem is with the ATT UVERSE HDTV BOX and not the Samsung DLP TV. There is an inherent problem with the ATT UVERSE HDTV Box when using a HDMI cable. This was verified by the ATT UVERSE Technician.
When I hooked up my HD cable box using an HDMI cable, I had to go into the cable screen menus and select HDMI output. You may have to do something similar when using an S-video cable. Your DVD recorder doesn't seem to have an HDMI input, so you'll have to use the S-video or (worst case) composite video (red, white, yellow cords). Your cable box may also be scrambling the signal so that you can't record. That may be why you can record by bypassing the cable box.
need more info on what your trying to do....
