How do i put security code so no one else can pick up wireless

If you mean wireless password go under the wireless tab go to wireless security change open to whatever you want wpa is the strongest and pick you password and apply. If you admin go to administration and change the router password.

Add a new user-name and password to the device as opposed to the default logon name and password.
Pick WPA2 as the wireless type if your computers/ devices support it.
Pick a nice long pre shared key (PSK) for the wireless connection code,

if you don't know your security code, then you will need to reset the router (Use the reset button on the back) then you should be able to connect wireless unsecured. from that point you can type the default gateway IP address (192.168.1.1) in the address line of internet explorer, this will open the web interface of the router (Leave username blank, admin for password) then you can re-enable wireless security and pick a new code (I recommend an old 10 digit phone number you can easily remember but hard for others to guess)

ur wireless code will be stored inside the modem/router. try accessing the modem by typing -> 192.168.1.1 in any web browser. it ll prompt u for user name and password. normally username -> admin and pwd->admin or 1234 had u not previously altered it. once u get through the modem explore in and search for wireless security or ssid key and password. use this ssid and password for wireless net access

That should be in your router under "wireless", and then "security" Make sure all your devices share and support the security you haver picked. In other words if you pick WPA2, you should prolly pick WPA2/mixed with TKIP/AES, ect. Dont pick WEP unless you have an older card. Its too easy to crack.

This is the part where you either get it from someone who knows, or you reset it. The WPA code does not display. If you don't know it, you log in, pick wireless security, and establish a new code.

You'll have to go to every computer that uses it and change the login.

consult your manual. go to the wireless security and enable "wpa2" most secured but will hinder some performance issue. and pick a "passpharse or key"

have you set WEP or WPA security? Make sure you have set the correct security code in the PS3

well first is it wired or wireless?

Wired: just plug in your Ethernet Cable in the back of the PS3 and go to Network Settings, Internet Connection and pick wired. do a Connection test and your good to go.

Wireless Network Settings, internet Connection then pick wireless, pick our access point and put any security codes in(WEP, WPA-SK) connection test and it should work.

But i recommend using the Wired connection cause the internet is a lot faster.
