Initially do a cold restart of the phone...hold Home and Top until the phone shuts down even if you see the slide to power down..keep holding.
I would start by restoring the phone through iTunes to a previous version where things were working. Finally if all fails you will want to wipe the phone and start clean.

There can be problems when iOS is upgraded. Get the latest version with the latest bug fixes. Watch the Viper app for version changes and download it when it gets updated. Check the Viper support web site:

This is a common bug when Apple upgraded the ibooks.
First, delete the app from your phone.
Second, open itunes on your computer without the phone attached
third, update all apps
fourth, plug in your iphone and sync ibooks
if the above doesn't work then re-download ibooks from itunes
if both above dont work then you need to erase the ibooks app from your phone and itunes and then download the app again.
