The Sansa e-series works with microSD cards. While microSDHC cards will fit into the slot, they are electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to use microSD cards, 2GB and smaller.
try to insert it into the computer and see if it is recognized...if it is ...you should find it on the My computer folder like a removable storage device ..(just like a memory stick ) ..and all you have to do is copy files into that folder.....but pay attention to not delete the root..and put the mp3 files where there are the others..
It mybe full a 256 mb. MP3. player will hold about 40, 4 mins. songs. I have a 256mb I use it at work. I load it about once aweek. If your looking for a mp3 player to keep all your music on try one with a hard drive on it.
1. Please place the memory card into the device and select the option to format it. This way the phone will set up the needed file system. Then you will likely have 3 folders. One will be MUSIC I believe. The others probably SYSTEM, etc. Make sure that you format the SD card with the phone first though as you might be placing music on the card but the phone isn't looking in the proper location for it. Also, be sure that the file is actually in MP3 format. I believe this is the program I used to use when dealing with WMA to MP3:
Use Windows Media Player to transfer to internal hard drive. This player can only RELIABLY read a small SD card of 256MB or less - it will read everything else sporadically.
ok, I have managed to use my sandisk 512mb card to put on music...even though I didnt know you had to format the disk in phone first (I dont recommend because all my music is individual clips and not in my music file), however once you see that the music is on the card via "my files" I went to the music player and hit options...then hit "add music from" then hit "memory card"...now you must put a check mark by all the music files you want to add to the music player (or choose "all" and hit ok) This will put your chosen songs off your card into the music player and you can see the song title at the top of your player screen and use the arrows to move through your songs/clips. Choose the song and hit play.
If your music files are in a folder you cannot add them to play list, but if you have all your songs singly you can add them to your playlist, I had the same problem tonight with this phone, we added them individually no problem, this has worked but is a lenthly prosses, so far so good, not had a play about with them other than this, still to get them back as an album not yet done, Jackie
Any problems ring virgin, they were very helpful, SGH-J600 User guide not explained very well
