When we pull freezer drawer out, the icecubes go flying out the back because the silver arm is down and drags them out. Any idea on how to make less ice or have arm move up automatically?

Try going back to basics. Even I've been caught out by something obvious. Is it the correct drawer for that position in the freezer? Sometimes they can be fitted with deep drawers and shallow drawers positioned in a fixed layout.
Most freezer drawers are a 'Tilt' lock system. Try this. It sounds more complicated than it actually is. Stand in front of the freezer holding the drawer by it's sides and the correct way around. Tilt the drawer downwards away from you so the front is higher than the back. Hook the top, rear edge into the space for that drawer as far as the tilt will let you. Swing the front edge down, back to where it's level and gently push the drawer in as you go.
The rear top edge of the drawer has a raised edge that acts as a 'Stopper' preventing the drawer coming all the way out if you pull it too far. You tilt the drawer to hook that edge under the matching ribs on the sides of the freezer.
Hello there,
Fixing the ice cubes tray is quite simple, all you need to do is to hold the ice tray by the edge and gently slide it into the ice tray position. Pull out the drawer and place the ice tray into the freezer.
To make ice cubes, fill the ice tray to the water level and place it in the freezer.
Hope this helped.
All the best

1.Check shut off arm struck due to stored ice in bucket are too much. Clear it. 2.Check water pressure is normal. 3.Check freezer temp. Must be 5 degree and less. 4.Check water hose to Ice Maker. No leak in hose. Hope helpful?
there is a kit you can git to put on the arm that tells how much ice it has ..or you can carefully bend the arm down too tell it it is full hope this helped
i have filled polythene bags with paper scunched up inside.to fill any empy drawers this will stop all the cold air escaping and being replaced with warm damp air.....works for me.....
this particular model comes with an adjustable swing arm for ice prduction
pu the swing arm on the 2nd to last click
in the down direction
all the way down is off
Hi, There is no adjustment on the level arm other then bending it. Is it posible that something snagged it as the drawer was being pulled out and bent it? The arm should collapse all the way down tothe side of the icemaker and level with the bottom of the icemaker.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if I can help further.
When the drawer is opened, trhe "full arm" swings up and out of the way. When the drawer is pushed back closed, the arm should swing back down. If it is unobstructed, the icemaker should make ice.
One thing to try is with the ice tray removed, push the plate (that holds the ice tray) back into the freezer. Lift the full arm up and down. It should easily move and you should be able to hear a slight "click" when moving up/down. If not, you might have a bad switch in the ice maker unit...replacement time.
sounds like you have a clogged defrost drain tube. removing back panel of freezer will give you acess to drain trough, melt away the ice with a hair dryer, youll find a drain hole under there somwhere, pouring boiling water down the drain will clear it pretty quickly( i use a steam machine purchased from the infomercials works awesome, after you clear it and all water drain down tube wrap a piece of solid copper wirearound the heater( black calrod heater right above the drain trough) and stick it in the whole maybe an inch or so. now everythime the heater comes on to defrost it will prevent the hole from freezing over
It sounds as if the thermal limit on the compressor is cutting off power to the compressor when it gets too hot. There could be 3 reasons for this. One, the compressor is just bad...should be covered under the 5 year sealed sytem warranty (if its less than 5 years old of course) if this is the case. Two, the thermal overload and start relay assembly is bad. They are mounted directly to the compressor (big round black thing) and can be changed for about$14 in parts (unplug the unit before replacing!) Three, the fan that runs in the bottom near the compressor that cools the compressor and condenser is jammed or not rotating for some reason. It should run any time the the compressor is running. If it doesnt, it need replaced or the compressor will do exactly what you are describing. Hope this helps!
