If the printer still works, Replace the display unit. It is a small LCD unit.(The LRU) If the printer does not work then you need to call HP for a service call.

1. Turn off the product. 2. Turn on the product. 3. When the control-panel display shows that the product has begun to count the memory, press and hold the 9 key. 4. When the LED lights turn on, release the 9 key. 5. Press the 3 key, and then press the Start key. 6. Use the 3 and 9 keys to scroll through the options (skip disk-load, NVRAM init, manufacturing, and skip calibration) and then press the 6 key to select the option you want. The product continues the power-on sequence.
This error is an indication that the system is unable to move the scanner. This usually happens on new units when someone forgets to unlock the scanner before switching machine. If the printer has worked up till not and just started doing it then there is a good chance that the scanner has failed and will require service. If you just moved the machine then check the scanner locks and make sure the cabling is all connected.
You need to replace the motherboard. When nothing comes on the display this means the bios on the motherboard is bad and the board and cpu need replaced.
If the power light does not turn color and stay's green on startup, it is not a power problem. It is most likely the inverter. If the unit is in warranty, send it out ASAP. Contact HP customer care by email and have the issue logged in.
If in warranty, they will send you a box by FedX second day and have repaired.
This is a 19" monitor and will not be worth paying for repairs if not in warranty.
