2 Line Cordless Phone In India

The Panasonic KX-TG9392T is a land line phone system; it's support page is available here: https://shop.panasonic.com/support-only/KX-TG9392T.html . IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) numbers apply to mobile phones. Thus there is no such number for a corded/cordless land line phone. There is a FCC registration for the cordless (radio) transmitter in the phone system. That number simply proves that the company tested the phone to ensure it does not cause interference with other radio frequencies beyond those it is supposed to use.

A lot depends on what sytsem the 7896 is plugged into. If it happens to be a TA series, you'll go into station programming mode (menu 99) and dial 11. The change this makes is that you will have to dial "9" to get an outside line, or 53x to pick up lines 1,2,3 etc. To get back to idle line preference, dial 12, but a cordless phone should never be set to ILP because you can't call internally or page.

Try connecting your phone to some other phone lines in which the caller id is working properly and this way you can check if the problem is with your device or line.

For all the phones to display the caller information properly, CLID (caller line identification service) should be enabled for your landline connection. Please contact your phone line provider to enable this service and you should be able to see the caller id information in your panasonic device.

The caller ID standard in India is different than the US standard. Contact Panasonic to see if your phone can be made compatible.

Only stupids buy cordless phone from Singapore. India uses ETSI DTMF standard for Caller ID which is not supported by any cordless phone sold in Singapore. It is about time you trash your worthless instrument in the dumpster.

Yes, you can use a regular 2 line cordless phone with your 4 line corded systems. The only concern is when you put someone on hold. The on hold function may not release if you have different makes of phone. If you already have Panasonic get a Panasonic 2 line cordless phone with the on hold feature.

Yes, you can just take line 3 and plug it into your new fax. I might suggest looking into a fax to email service instead of buying a new fax. If you receive more than send it's a great way to save on the phone line and paper.

Digital phones are pretty secure, no one will accidentally hear your conversations. It is not encrypted but I think it would be perfectly fine in your office.

Well if the phone has been bought abroad and being used in India you will face this problem. this is because of the format of transmitting the caller id info being different. In USA it is STF and in India it is DTMF. You need a convertor in the phone line which is DTMF to STF. IF you find onw in Delhi pl let me also know.

US phones use Bellcore FSK caller id. India uses DTMF caller id. Buy a DTMF- FSK converter at a telecom shop.

For people who have purchased cordless phone in usa and caller id is not working they should purchase fsk to dtmf converter at any local phone shop and caller id will start working.

There are 3 major caller ID specifications in the world: DTMF, ETSI FSK and Bellcore FSK. When users buy a foreign telephone devices(such as cordless phone, fax machine or computer telephony interface), may encounter the problems of non-match for caller ID standard. This will cause the device unable to display the caller ID. EX220 can solve this problem easily. EX220 has a rechargeable battery inside the device, during idle status, it gets power from the telephone line and recharge the battery, so no need to use or replace battery. Just plug one end to telephone line, and the other to the telephone device.
For example, if you live in Netherlands, Saudi or India, the caller ID standard is DTMF. Yes. I have the same problem. same model. Same issue. I bought the phone around dec 2007. I did not give it to panasonic service center.

I have to buy new one and send it to India. This time only siemens or Uniden.

My friend he suggested me to go for american brands like uniden or Siemens. Similar 5.8 ghz technology, he did not have any problem so far.he is using it in india.
