Low coolant, if there is an air pocket in the engine it will make it to the heater core. Once there , the air coming out is cold/cool. Once the coolant fills the heater core, it gets hot. If the coolant is fine hot or cold, then have the HVAC system scanned.
1- first off, it takes a good, engine thermostat to get good heat.
(input) (its called a heat exhanger) bad input ,gives bad output.
we connect a scan tool an see ECT at 180F or more, holding and in the normal driving distances, if you STAT is 2001, its old and slow, get it out of there. if true. old stats can cause overheating and engine damage to any sign of sluggishness or wrong temps, its kicked to the curb, fast. It sounds like the air temperature control blend door actuator or blend door may be sticking. Only a shop will be able to confirm this. I will note that your post is very confusing and provides little info that can be clearly understood about what is going on here. You may need to read what you wrote and clarify it a bit. Thanks

This sounds like you either need to clean or replace the filter, but if the filter is some what new you might want to take a look at the coils just past the filter, if the coils do not have a shine to them then you might want to buy some coil cleaner (i found simple green or formula 50 works great), then you will have to spray the coils with the cleaner, let sit about 10-15 min, then give it a very good rinse with warm water. After that it should work like it is brand new. Enjoy!
