There are 2 long switches, maybe 4" long, called record/play switches. These can certainly cause this. Try cleaning them with the power unplugged. You would turn the cassette deck on end, so the switches are vertical. Use LPS-1 or LPS-2, and spray a very small amount in the end. Work the switch back and forth and see if that helps. Good luck.
Make sure the ribbon cables or the screens are plugged in. one for each screen and one for the touch screen (i think the touch screen is the one thats causing your problem) its small and comes out easily. please wright back if it works
ignition switch may be worn or a loose exciter wire [to starter] thats the small terminal on starter motor you can bridge it to the posative [power] on the starter it should start!
if it does start just work back from there to ignition look for broken or loosse connection
if that all is ok it will need ignition switch
Make sure you are using a fully charged Nikon battery. Problems may sometimes happen with generic batteries. If you are using a Nikon batt, then seems you may need to bring this in for servicing

The device that pushes the ice forward and out the door is called the auger assembley. It may be a loose connection or a door switch not closing. SOmetimes the switch is attached so that a shelf will have an extended part and if the shelf is removed or moved to another location nothing is there to make the switch work. If this helps you please rate me as high as you possible can. If not please post back your responce and Ill answer asap.
