Have a Roland SP 540 V Eco Sol MAx printer/cutter. Magenta/Yellow print head clogged (hadn't been used in a few weeks) can't seem to get the ink to flow in those heads! Any idea other than head replacement??
Re: Have a Roland SP 540 V Eco Sol MAx printer/cutter....
You should have to use the syringe method to **** the ink before anything, then make a powerful cleaning, test, you may have to do it several cleanings and should be solved.

Please restart both the computer and your printer before printing again. You can also check on the side of the cartridge package boxes which printers the cartridges are compatible with. If the issue continues, please double check that you've placed the cartridges into their correct color-specific locations before trying again.

Most printers have 4 inks: Magenta, Cyan, Yellow, and Black. Red requires the printer to print both Yellow and Magenta. If your Magenta isn't printing, red will show up yellow. When you say, "I am not out of ink", you may actually BE out of Magenta, or your magenta ink nozzles may be clogged. I don't know what brand of printer or model you have, so I can't give you exact directions to clean the nozzles. The printer driver may have that ability.
your print head dry out, cause is: no use! you should detach the tube between the pump and the caps, the one of magenta and yellow, insert a seringe in the tube (that comes from the cap) and suck some cc´s of ink, .then atatch the tube again and run one or two powerful cleanings, then run the test. A smart advise is: never turn off the machine in the main power, the machine when in stand by, does automatic a check and a cleaning process from time to time if needed.
Inhae had similar issues, I corrected it by slowing down the print rate to 250mm per sec and also doing a calibration to the messy used if all else failed calibration wise I used textile heat transfer profile for printing on both banner and vinyl hope this helps
Magenta ink is not flowing. Go to your printer utilities (Control Panel>Printer and Faxes>your printer>Advanced and look for an option to clean the print heads. Or, replace the cartridge. If you haven't used the printer for a while (a few weeks maybe) ink can get clogged. Sometimes a bit of isopropyl alcohol where the opening is in the cartridge is enough to restore flow. Just a drop would be all you need.
