When i dial on fax number on the fax it is saying no loop current .... has this somthing to do with the settings ????

No, loop current is another term for the dial-tone. Your machine is not finding the dial tone.

No loop current

One side of the phone line to the unit is bad. This could either be in your cords, internal facility wiring, OR with your Telco.

You should see about 50 volts between the two wires to the FAX.

Plug is a plain phone and see if you get dial tone IN THE SAME plug that the FAX is connected.

No dial-tone detected. Plug a regular phone into the wall jack and verify dial-tone.

Make sure you are plugged into the LINE port of the fax machine.

No loop current

Check the line cable. Try inserting that line to another telephone unit. And if there's still no dial tone the problem is on the line itself. You should call your line provider. But if the line is ok, check the LIU connectors if it is inserted correctly. It the connectors are ok, then the possible problem is on the tel. line circuit on its mainboard.
