Very little water pressure & no water to ice maker

Very little water pressure, water seems to just drip out of the water despencer when filling a glass and ice maker will not fill!!! I have drilled out the water valve, replaced the hose with a 3/8 dia. hose, the filter is new. Oh yeah, it's a FRS25H5AS. This has been an ongoing problem for some time.

The solenoid valves, located in the lower back of the refrigerator, where the water line enter the unit has a filter mesh at the inlet. Mineral formation or debris from the tube lines block the water pass and present the symptoms you describe. Also, when units do not have this filter mesh, the mineral deposit and debris obstruct the water valve mechanism and the water flow. If you have good pressure at the valve entrance, but not at the output, replace the solenoid valves.

SOURCE: Water dispensor does not dispense water. Ice maker works.

you have prime the system air out of the water lines this is easy to do
put a glass big enough to cover water dispensor outlet cause its going to project water out at you press and hold button till water starts to run smooth
these fridges will spit water at you when you prime the system at first cause theres air blockage in lines

SOURCE: frigidaire water leaks

I suspect that when the water valve was replaced, that the plug's were reversed that provide the power to the valve. Exchange the two plugs on the water valve and you may find the problem is fixed.

SOURCE: Ice maker freezes up and drips water

I am assuming you have the ice maker that the tray twists to release the ice. There is a new tray out with a wall to prevent the water spilling over. The part number is

SOURCE: Water keeps dripping after it dispenses water thru the door

When you push the button, the CLICK you hear when the water flows is the Water delivery solenoid opening to let water thru, then snapping shut when U R done. The Spring is weak (prob wrong type, size, strength at factory) or the valve seal is cracked, torn, hardened or crushed.

Since all this is inside the door, you will either have to take it apart to see/fix/replace.

Quick fix: turn down the water pressure coming in(?)

Call Mr. Handyman to fix.

If under warranty - they might fix this for you for free
If this is a factory defect, there might be a recall in place for repair/replacement parts

Googlee both - Make/Model + Dripping Valve + Recall
Good Luck!

Why is my Uline ice maker filling with water not ice ?

At first I wanted to say it has to fill with water to make ice but I know you mean the ice bin is filling with water. You either have an issue with the water control valve leaking or your timer isn't working properly. Listen for the water to flow and when it seems to shut off look at the tray fill spout and see if it actually stopped dripping. If it continues to drip (not flow normally) then the valve is leaking. If it isn't dripping but the water in the ice tray over flowed, then the issue is either with the timer or the adjustment is incorrect.

My ice despencer is not making ice

There is a tub that goes through the back of the freezer wall into the ice maker. Sometimes this tube will freeze shut and needs to be thawed out.

The water fill tube will freeze shut from low water pressure. Ether from a bad water valve or low pressure to the refrigerator itself.

Pull the refrigerator out and remove the tube from the back wall to check it.

Thanks for your response Woodchuck 789- it is greatly appreciated. I tried checking the dual inlet valves as you suggested - switching electrical connectors and checking output, etc. The valves seem...

its hard to ck a valve that drips / and the ice maker may be over filling . if ice cubes are stuck to gether it is over filling . if driping . it may be a bad valve that does not shut off tight. I would replace the valve .. ****

Icemaker will not fill with water but water comes out despencer

Check the ice maker first by filling with tap water. Let freeze and if it cycles and dumps the dual water control valve on rear is defective. If ice maker does not cycle then I think you have a problem with the ice maker. Thanks, Sea Breeze
Look for that model number.

Whirlpool GR2FHTXVQ00 fridge. Water dispenser

The water inlet valve on the back of the unit where the water supply comes in can have a slow leak and will cause ice to buildup and block the fill tube. Disconnect the ice maker line from the valve and watch to see if it has a slow drip. It doesn’t take much to eventually block the fill tube.
The valve can leak because of sediment in the water preventing it from closing or low water pressure.

You can thaw out the fill tube and replace the inlet valves.

Water from despenser but not to the ice maker

Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear. If it doesn't

The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice maker needs water. If the valve doesn't seal good because of sediment or wear it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube it will freeze. You can take the water line off the valve and watch to see if it drips.

Ice maker seems to be dripping water onto ice in ice container

If it overfills and drips, look for an adjustment behind the plastic endcover with a +/- on it. - is less water.

If it continuously drips, replace the water inlet valve on the back where the house water supply comes in.

Watch it when it fills with water. The fill tube could also be stopped up with ice. The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice maker needs water. If the valve doesn't seal good because of sediment or wear it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube it will freeze. You can take the water line off the valve and watch to see if it drips.

Plhs67es fridgidaire refrigerator no water despence or making ice

Always remember Safty First to turn off power and water supply and only turn them on as needed!!!
I checked water supply it was great and then check the valves (solinoids) and the power and all was good. The next thing I checked was the water from the supply valve to the filter at the same time I put some water in the ice maker to make sure it was working (leave it to make sure it drops the ice). The filter was new but was defective. Water went to the filter but did not return any to the despencer or the ice maker. During the different test I performed I also found that the lines hook to valves that the filter plugged into and since the new filter fixed the problem those valves were ok but could have been the problem therefore I suggest if you have this problem remove the filter and depress the small valve with a small object (like a hollowed out pen) and call for the water to be dispenced. If the water does not spray out then you have another problem...I went threw the whole system to find a bad filter, which I thought in the begining but since the other filter was new I done all of the above.
Although I figured out the problem myself this is a great Web Site. Thank You

Ice maker will not eject the ice.

I don't know if this is your problem but I had a similar problem and it was low water pressure causing the blades to freeze up. The valve on the water tubing leading to the refridgerator was not fully open and the tubing was kinked.
