The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

SOURCE: Date View

I called Canon and they said that date is not available with S400. However, you can get some programs that will print the date on the pictures yourself. Each picture has stored the date it was taken inside the picture file (embedded). Hope that helps.

SOURCE: I want the date to

I see that's its been over a year since you've posted your question. But you need to be in postcard mode for the camera to allow you to choose the date stamp option.

How to view dates while printing for Lumix DMC - TZ3

The camera will not show the date while taking pictures. The camera can stamp the date onto the photo, but the image size will be reduced. See page 66 of the manual: http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/DMCTZ2.PDF.

However the date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. My camera shows that the date and time are set up but date does not print on picture when developed. it's a new camera and I just developed my first set of prints and there is no date on any of them. ...

On digital cameras, the data is stored with the filename. Check the back of your prints to see if the dates were not printed there. Most companies do put at least the date information on the back of the prints as well as any other metadata stored with the file produced by the digital camera. Unlike film cameras, which could only record the date by actually putting it on the picture, digital pictures contain metadata that can include things such as people tags, location tags (geotagging), etc. depending upon the capabilities of your camera. The date and time is always stored along with the filename on all digital cameras. If the company that printed your pictures did not include the date on the back of the picture, ask them if they can do it or find another source to print your pictures that can.

If this did not address your issue, please reply with any amplifying information so that I may more accurately address your issue.

I hope this helped!

Please help me, i have a fuji finepix a350 camera and i won my camera to show the date inside the picture, i tryed all the options but it shows the date for 2-3 seconds on the scren and then does not shows...

You can't get date on the pictures, when viewing them on the screen og on the computer. You can print pictures with date printed on them. Press Menu/OK while viewing the picture on the camera. Select DPOF, select With date. You need to do this with every single picture you want date on. It also requires your printer to be DPOF compatible.
