SanDisk Sansa c200 2Gb won't turn on

Hi, I have the SanDisk Sansa c200 2Gb for about three or four months, now, and it recharges normally when connected to the computer, but as soon as I disconnect it, it turns off and doesn't turn on no matter how long I hold the on/off button! Help, please!!

SOURCE: SanDisk Sansa c200 2Gb won't turn on

Some recent Windows updates have caused problems as severe as this on many mp3 players regardles of manufacturer (the iPod has been immune because it is not Windows-based). If you have either Windows Vista or Windows Media Player 11, which are the latest versions, then perform a firmware update on your Sansa player by going to the Sansa website and getting the firmware updater:

My 8gb sansa scandisk has the common white screen... its four days old... not happy.....

You have a switch to turn it on or off. If you hold the 'on' switch for about 20 seconds, this will force the Sansa to turn off. It is like rebooting a computer.

Then, turn it on again, and hopefully your player will be back to normal.

Leave it on charge for at least four hours.
See if it works.
If it has charged from that port on your computer before the port should be ok.
You could try a different port if you have one.
If no luck, try a different charging cable or charger if you have one.

Charging is discussed on page 7 of the manual.

If it is only a month old, it may be under warranty.
Ask where you got it from, or contact Sandisk.

Hi There

For this issue i would say the best solution is, you can use the USB cable, thats the best solution rather than using the rechargeable battery.....

Regarding sansa battery

Battery is rechargeable by plugging into computer. 19 hours is probably not right - more like 8 or 9.

Sansa's website has manuals, faq's and more at:
http://www.sandisk.com/sansa/#/support-0/
make sure you pick Sansa "Fuze" for the m240 series
