My dyson roll bar is not rotating and I have cut away any possible obstacles

If your DC59's brush bar won't rotate, it's possible there's something in the cleaner head which is creating an obstruction. It's also important to remove any threads or hair from around the brush bar.

If you can't find any obstructions but the brush bar still won't rotate, please get in touch directly so we can help further. The brush bar in DC39's Triggerhead floor tool is driven by an airflow-powered turbine. If your vacuum has strong suction but the brush bar stalls on carpeting, it suggests something may be jamming the brush bar.

DC33's brush bar will only rotate when the vacuum cleaner is turned on and reclined into the normal vacuuming position, and the brush control is set to 'Carpets':



If the vacuum cleaner is standing upright, or set to 'hard floors', the brush bar will not rotate.

DC24 uses a belt engineered to last the lifetime of the machine. It's protected by a safety cut-out system, which shuts off the brush bar if something jams it. If the brush bar in your machine isn't rotating, it's likely the machine simply needs resetting. This is simple to do - please follow the steps shown in the video below.

The brush bar will never rotate when the machine is standing upright, so make sure you recline your machine into the vacuuming position before testing it after the reset procedure.

The Dyson system is designed to operate the hose with the handle in the upright position. When the head is tipped down (floor vacuum position) it closes the opening to the hose/wand

There is a reset button on the side of the brush bar head. Press it.

when you put it back make sure that the ends of the bar fits exactly in the ends o the box and has to roll smoothly even when you rotate it with your hand when you try this has to be disconnected
