I don't see anything anymore on the display of my Yamaha RX-V620.
It happened one day, since then nothing helped me turn the display on.
I may have had a power surge of some kind, not sure or remember such incident.
Please, what could be the reason?

I had the same problem, my led lights went out on my yamaha, i found out that most of the yamaha starting with RX-770 and 560 the transformers stops working, so i order one in ebay pay 29 dollars and put in the new transformer and its working great again....just check it out and youll see, you only hear one relay clicking and the yamaha receiver have four relays inside the unit, it work for me i hope it does tofor you.
Sounds like the LED that lights up the display has burnt out. An easy fix, if you're not afraid to take the front panel apart and resolder a new one.

i had the same problem and its was not the LED lights gone bad,,, my transformer went bad so i order on ebay and replace new and its working great againg,,,i hope this will help you,most yamaha stereos receiver have the same problems transformer goes bad
