I am assuming this is a Plasma TV? If so, Once an image is burned into the screen, there is now way to remove it. There are some ways to remove temp burn-in images like playing a white screen, and a screen wipe program. But,this only helps if you see a burn-in after watching the same image for a few hours. If the image has been played over a long period of time. "Like a store demo, security camera, ESPN like at a bar" There is no repair for this. And the screen will need to be replaced, and the cost of the replacement is sometimes more than buying a new TV. Sorry to have to give you this bad news. If you bought a extended war.? It may cover the burn-in. Some warranties
will cover that. It is worth a try.
Sounds terminal. Companies build things with "planned obsolescence" in mind. In other words. You buy a TV today, and the warranty says it's good for 4 years. 4 years and 3 months later, it dies.
hey voiolentce. if you press the # button on the cablebox remote control you can fine tune the zoom by those 20 pixels you want. you are most likely set at zoom 1 currently. thats where i was when i had this same problem and it took me days to figure out that all i needed to do was press the damn # button. i couldnt see any of the scores on espn sports games and its been driving me crazy. hope this helps!
Hope you have fixed this problem by now, if that tv is unserviced, I mean if nobody has ever opened it, it could be a problem with the positioning of your tv, just tilt the tv in different positions and find out the position in which it will show the right fit. If it is serviced, especially yoke is changed, this is rare, it could be because the position of yoke is not aligned properly.
