Hi,

Unfortunately no. The Panasonic PT-60LCX64 TV does not have any jacks, plugs or external connection point to attach he wires of external speakers.

Alternately however, it is possible to install 2 pairs of speaker terminals on the backboard and wire them in parallel to the internal speakers.

Hope this be of help/information. Good luck and kind regards.

PMH 5000 and External Amps...

Based on my research, the Yamaha PMH5000 mixer features two 1/4-inch "insert" jacks for connecting external effects processors, such as compressors or equalizers, to individual channels. These jacks are not intended for connecting external power amps.
However, the PMH5000 does have two "main out" jacks that can be used to send the mixed audio signal to external power amps. These are typically located on the back of the mixer and may be labeled as "L/R" or "Main Out."
When you connect an external power amp to the main out jacks, the signal is sent directly to the power amp and is not routed through the internal power amps of the mixer. The external power amp then amplifies the signal and sends it to the speakers.
It is important to note that when using external power amps, you should adjust the volume levels carefully to avoid damaging the speakers or the power amp.

I want to connect external speakers to tv

If this unit has audio output jacks then these would be connected through an amplifier to provide your external speakers. Caution: Do not open the tv and connect additional speakers to installed speakers because you'll blow the small audio amp in the tv. I have seen this attempted many times

Shud i get an external equaliser? i'm using MG166CX 16-Channel Mixer as the main mixer.

An external equalizer will not help this at all. The problem is likely within the amp (feeding the main speakers), the connections from the board to the amp, or the speakers themselves. In other words, the answer would be "NO." Best of luck!

How do you hook up a external amp to a yamaha HTR-5790 av receiver? Do you have to change any settings?

Elaborate a bit on what you're trying to do if this doesn't work for you.

This unit has Pre Outs near the center of the rear panel for all audio channels which will allow you to use external amplification for any speakers you wish to use and the receiver will still control the volume.

See #12 on page 10 of the manual. Try retrevo.com

Just run RCA cable(s) from the desired Pre-Out jack to the input(s) on the external amp with its speaker(s) attached. Set the external amp's volume (if it has one) to very high, then leave it alone. Run through the Yamaha's speaker location and volume settings to level-match the external speakers to the rest.

If you want to simultaneously use the Yamaha-attached speakers for the same channels as the external amp you'll have to match the like channel volumes to each other using a volume control on your external amp, then level-match them as a unit to the other channels.

No external speakers for radio etc, after installation

You need to check the default settings, the logitech might have over ridden the default sound card settings.

Driving 2 sets of speakers with an external volume control on one set.

I think it's a bad idea to use a simple potentiomenter to do what you want to. You'd be better off using another amplifier with RCA cables in between them. It's not hard to find an old amp that you could use these days.

Ksc-w800 installation

Any sub will need an external amp - a head unit amp doesn't have the suds to drive it. You can try it with the deck but you'll only get a whisper out of it.
