SOURCE: brand new lasonic i931 boombox wont turn on!!!

okay, i had a similar problem, and the problem turned out to be a bad connection. If you open up the battery box, in the bottom top left corner there is a positive connection wire that looks kind of like a "U".
this connection doesn't come in contact with the batteries, so you need to extend it by wrapping a small piece of wire or something to make it stick out more.

what we actually did was put a piece of 1/4 in. by 1 in. piece of copper flashing in the plastic slot and across the U shaped connector to increase conductivity and it works fine.

i hope this was helpful!

SOURCE: My lasonic ghetto blaster won't come on

Happened to me. wasn't the U shaped connector. It was the connector on the right hand side, it gets pushed down over time. If you look at it and you see that its not pushed all the way up, then thats the problem. I opened my box up and physically pushed it up. It slides right up and then close it back.

I plug in my lasonic blaster g31 when I put up the volume it turn off what is it

From the description the audio outputs are cutting out due to bad connections, or semiconductor failure. Check to make sure there are no shorts in the speaker wiring, if no change! take it back to the place of purchase for exchange or repair.

THE VOLUME KNOB ON MY i931 WILL ONLY INCREASE SOUND, NOT DECREASE

If your volume control has no "stops" to it, meaning when you turn the control it continually spins, then the volume control is what is called a "rotary encoder" as opposed to a potentiometer which has a definite beginning and end. The only way to test a rotary encoder accurately is to do so with an oscilloscope. And usually the only way to repair the problem is to have it replaced by a qualified technician. It's not really a job for the home hobbyist. You may have success cleaning it with a contact cleaner that doesn't leave any residue, but don't hold your breath...

I clearly have the correct batteries, but it won't turn on without using the power cable

The battery wire inside the boombox could have come loose or there is corrosion on the battery terminals.

My lasonic ghetto blaster won't come on

Make sure the switch on the back is on the correct power setting. The cord is AC and the input is DC. On batteries, switch it to DC and use tinfoil or copper wire on the left top U shaped + battery receptor. on mine, it didnt connect with batteries without metal there

I have just turned on my brand new lasonic i+931 boombox. I plugged it in and it automatically turned on, made a loud humming noise and then within seconds turned itself off. I was thinking maybe a fuse...

same happened to me. it might be the battery circuit or the batteries many times fall out of place so they dnt work. call lasonic or send it back for a new one for free like mine

Problem with Lasonic i pod ghetto blaster

Happened to me, and a very common problem. on the top left of the battery compartment, there is a U shaped connector meant to hook up with the + battery on that side. it's too low, so the circuit doesnt complete. Use some aluminum foil or copper wire to make the U connect with that battery and it should work.
