Most power cables are universal with only a handfull of different types. You could check if power cable for your sub woofer is the same with same amount of pins(2 or 3) and if its the same you could use your system without the woofer for now.. Just about any Electrical Dealer shop(ie.. sells tv's,computers etc) should have a replacement cable for you- just take in the end that connects to your stereo.
if the cable is fixed correctly then it would seem when your dog chewed through the cable the cables met and caused a power short out that has blown some of the internal electronics components there fore the unit will not work. taking into consideration the price of jbl creature speakers it would be cheaper to replace the unit than to have repaired ..
If it's the screw on type on both ends (I'm assuming it's the video cable), you can unscrew both ends and get another VGA cable (under 10 dollars each). If not, you might want to consider keeping the dog away from cables, it was lucky not to chew on charged wires.
1. cable box video out to video 1 in on the lcd , audio out to reciever input 1 ( tv, vcr , or what you want it on )
2. dvd s-video output to lcd video 2 s-video input , dvd audio out to reciever dvd/cd audio input , and add the optical or coax cable digital audio for dolby digital surround sound
