Sony 5 Piece Stereo System. (old model, but mmm good)
Hi I just moved house and attempted today to reconnect my stereo system back together. I connected all five pieces below to the amp' and had sound comming from the turner, tape deck (noticed base & output sounded lower on T' deck) on closer inspection I found the tape was playing but the amp' dial was on CD. I have been fannying around since changing the leads from out-put to input from deck to amp but when leads are put into phono socket I get allot of crackling feedback and it sounds worse. I know it must be a matter of inserting the leads in the correct manor, but i'm getting a head ache now & I would just like some straight forward step by step advice on how to insert the leads correctly so that when I turn the amp dial to Tape, CD, Turner, that is what will come on. PS.. I had the tape deck connected to the graph' EQ , would like this to flow.
(more PS... dont' know if this will help stereo leads are Monster Cable)
SONY SEPERATES STEREO SYSTEM:
7 bnd' graph EQ: SEQ-310,
30 stn' random pre set turner: ST-S110,
CD Player: CDP-770,
Stereo cass' deck: TC-RX55,
Intergrated stereo Ampl':TA-F210
Thanks for the advice, I now finaly have sound coming from The CD, Turner and tape, but still experiancing bad sound and crackling via the tape deck and the equalizer turns on but dose not appear to be communicating with the tape deck any further pointers? please feel free to spell out and confirm EQ, deck, & Amp' connections.
Do you think equip' needs servicing? and what would that entail?
Meanwhile I'll just hace to listen to me turner & CD.
Cheers chicken,

OK, this is pretty easy to do. First connect your leads from the component outputs(i.e., tape, cd, phono, etc) to the recievers corresponding input for the device. Then connect the recievers outputs to your equalizer, if it is a seperate eq. Then the outputs of that to your amplifier, then your speakers to that. Be sure all of your wires are connected with the proper polarity. These instructions may be a little different for your exact setup but basically follow the same order minus any device you dont have.
Are you sure the tape deck is connected to the tape input on your reciever? There is usually a tape in and a tape out on recievers, so that you can record from another source to the tape deck. Im not to sure about the eq problem yet, but let us know how the tape turns out after checking for the above. Are you sure the tape deck is connected to the tape input on your reciever? By definition and functionality, they are not for mobile entertainment systems; quite to the contrary, they are for fixed entertainment systems, such as TVs, stereo receivers, radios, etc. The wireless headphones are the mobile part of the equation; you can move around your house while wearing them and watching the TV or listening to your stereo system. Just hook up the transmitter piece the headphones came with to the audio output of your TV (as an example) and enjoy !
for the bass check your eq on your player (make sure it not off or default)..for the stereo effect you might have yanked the wire a bit from the ear piece or even the plug piece to cause the non stereo ....earbuds get caught on a lot things and we just keep movin and doin until its to late...
Well you can please follow the below steps - 1. Disconnect your car battery. It is vitally important to your safety that you never work on any type of electronic in your car with the battery still connected, as this puts you at risk for electrocution. 2. Remove the old stereo by taking off all the dashboard panels surrounding your stereo, sliding out your old stereo head unit, and unplugging all the wires that are connected to the head unit. Discard the old stereo. 3. Take your Pioneer car stereo head unit and plug each of the positive wires from your car speakers to the positive terminals on the head unit. Take all of the negative speaker wires and connect them to the negative terminals on the head unit. 4. Attach the stereo's black ground wire to a metal bolt or screw located near where the stereo is mounted in the dash. 5. Connect all of the ignition power wires to your Pioneer stereo. 6. Take the harness connector and plug it into your car stereo. Now plug the antenna into the back of your head unit. 7. Slide the stereo back into the dash, screw it in place, and replace the dashboard pieces you removed earlier. 8. Reconnect your car battery, turn the car on and test out your new Pioneer car stereo. Please post comments for more help or information..........
fixable as i had the same problem turned it off at the back waited 24 hours and now it works again :)
though i have a simular problem my subwoofa keeps cuttig out, why is this? x
This should be simple for you as i just did this recently. all you really need is a phillips screwdriver. first just use your fingernails in the groove to pull / pry off the harder plastic frame piece of the dash that wraps around the stereo, spedometer, air vents ect. You will have to move the steering wheel all the way down and play with the shifter (if automatic) to get it all the way off. it is only held on by clips and should come off and on fairly easy. After you get that off there are three scews that connect the stereo to the dash. just remove them and the whole piece should pop out.
You can use any analog Audio input out of 3 at rear of this system to listen laptop sound. Audio Cord is required to hook up and its look like red-white RCA pins at one end and other end is like headphone stereo jack for laptop. Audio Cord is available at Sony Part Center.
Hope above info will help you.
There are 5 wires to connect to the BA-200 for proper operation.
1. Red Wire with Fuse: Connect this wire to a source of + 12 volts which does not turn off with the ignition
key. It may also be connected directly to the po~itive (+) terminal of the battery.
2. Black Wire: Secure this wire using a screw or bolt on a grounded metal surface of the vehicle. Clean-away
any rust, dirt, or paint from the surface to make sure a good connection is made.
3. Blue Wire: This wire activates the BA-200 when the stereo system is turned on. Connect it to the "Power
.Antenna" lead from your car stereo. If your car stereo does not have or you cannot locate the Power
Antenna lead, the blue wire can be connected to a source of + 12 volts which is turned on and off with the
ignition switch. In this case, the BA-200 will be activated whenever the ignition switch is turned on, whether
the car stereo is on or off.
4. Green Wire: Splice this wire to the wire going to the positive (+) terminal (sometimes indicated bya red
dot) of the left speaker of your stereo system.
5. G ray Wire: Splice this wire to the wire going to the positive ( + ) terminal (sometimes indicated bya red dot)
of the right speaker of your stereo system.
You Need to order this piece trough the manufacturer, with out this piece the sub is useless, i am guessing around $20-$30 for it
