Tomtom 910 help please

Ive tried everything but throwing it in the road and running over it. It will not connect to my computer. Ive tried different usb ports ,resetting it, holding the power button . when i turn it on i get the splash screen with a picture if the tomtom and a flashing red and white x and nothing else.. when i plug it in the computer a little loading icon that says formatting pops up after about 5 to 10 min it goes away and shows a connected tomtom picture and i still cant get to do anything.

I have both and both are installed. I called tomtom and after about 20 mins got on the phone with a rep and she is mailing me a box to send my unit in for repair or replacement. Last purchase of a tomtom.

I cannot get my computer to recognize the TomTom. I have installed, uninstalled and reinstalled TomTom Home, and have reset the TomTom several times. Mine gets stuck on the screen with the hand and the red X with a little "formatting" in the top left corner. Then it switches to the little picture of the unit, and will do nothing else.

my tomtom reads no maps after regestering it on my computer

TomTom won't work in car. It just displays the dreaded white cross in a red circle. I tried to connect it via usb to my computer but the computer can't see it. Tried resetting to no effect. This is the second time this has happened. The first time was straight out of the box! For the amount of use it has had I think this is one of the worst purchases I've ever made.

Tom tom go 910 red cross flashing wont re set

Well i am writing this wile I am trying this out...
I have a TomTom Go 910 that has a RED CROSS FLASHING on the bottom corner, what I have found is that if you have backed up your TomTom Go i maybe able to reset the TomTom Go on my computer but if you havent you may have to find on try finding one on google but i have a TomTom Go 910 you can download the 910 on http://rapiddigger.com/download/backup-go-910-rar-9110176/.

after you found the back-up you can connect your TomTom Go to your computer using the USB provided from your TomTom Go, replace the doggie file with the new one, then this should change it back to the FIRST update given...

(WARNING >> PLEASE scan the file befor you put it in your TomTom Go it might contain a very very evil virus<< WARNING)

Nothing happens when i plug my usb cable into my computer with the tomtom ONE

start tomtom home if it does not start automaticlly when you turn on your tomtom and connect it to your computer..if you dont have tomtom home, you can get it HERE.

if its still not connecting try another usb cable although im not sure in that one disconnects from the home dock on the 910

( i assume your using the home dock because thats the only way a 910 will hook up to a computer)

Tomtom 'Mount to the car screen'-travelling voice fails

Are you using a generic charger? or the official TomTom one? While they might all be 12v output (car)- 5v input (unit end) they are different ampages etc. If you are using a generic car charger then a lot of GPS units consider it to be a computer and so goes to docking/sync mode.
The unit may only sound the voice properly if you running off a tomtom charger.

Tomtom 910 will not connect to computer

Had a similar problem with my GO 930, i.e. it would not connect to the PC. As several people have suggested, it appears to be a problem with the docking station connection. I found, by trial and error, that this works for my system (so far, every time):

Remove GO from docking station.
Switch on and allow to boot up.
Place FIRMLY in docking station
The Go should now recognise that it is linked to a PC and will ask if you wish to connect.
Proceed as normal.

As mentioned, my sytem is a 930, so this may not work for 910s.
