Have a rear projection tv 55pp9352. Has green halos around objects on the screen. Checked convergence and all red and blue line up except that on the outside edges the convergence crosses are somewhat bent. Also the picture seems to have more blue color than it should and color adjustments don't fix it. Do I have a convergence chip problem as well as a fluid issue?

its sounds like the convergence on your TV needs to be adjusted. (this adjusts all of the color guns in the back of the tv to line them up again, when they get off, you start to get yellow blue or red halos around objects in the picture. In the setup menu on your TV under picture or Display there will be an item that says "convergence" follow the instructions in there so all the crosses on the screen no longer have colored halos anymore.

Projection TV sets are known to have two common problems. The first problem that is common to these sets is convergence failure. When this happens the TV will usually look 3D, Wavy/Distorted, etc. It may also shutdown and blink an error code.

I had a similar problem with red halos around images on my Hitachi rear projection TV. The problem was that the red convergence chip burned out. I replaced that and that fixed the problem.
