I have an Avital 4103 remote starter. The remote start works fine but depressing the brake does not shut it off. Do you have any suggestion as to a fix. By the way I do not have a valet switch.

it still might have a button combo that might put it into valet so look it up on google and see if you can find anything on it if not im sorry but i dont know what else it could be.

Ford f150 Avital 4103

You can put an amp meter on the battery, an amp clamp meter is easier and safer or a multimeter with 20 amp rating or better, find remote starter unit, find fuses for unit red wire on most starters is 12 v constant, you can put amp meter between the Avital fuse but there may be multiple Red wires or run the ampmeter on the battery + terminal through the ampmeter, DO NOT START THE CAR with the meter connected, just hook it up and close all the doors and wait 2 hours for all the car computers to reset and idle, record your amp readings, its tough to say what your truck actually drains per hour, I am guessing under 60ma is ok, remember when you open the car door you will activate the SJC computer "smart junction box in most Fords and it will drain current for a little while, disconnect your Avital and then see what the current is after an hour, remember most Digital volt meters shut off now after 5 minutes and you have to push buttons or flip knobs to activate them, doing this may disturb the current reading tests because you might open the circuit , try an old analog amp meter if you can find one.

I have an avital 4103 in my 2004 silverado. It won't unlock the doors and it starts but immediately quits.

There is a bypass module that communicates with the truck. It's in addition to the 4103 system. It's lost its programming or is disconnected. Sometimes you can unplug the module, turn the key on, plug module back in, turn key off, then on and start. All should be working fine again.

I need to know the steps ( opening driver door, turnig the key on n' off etc, etc. ) to activated the alarm 4103

The 4103 is not an alarm! It's a keyless entry and remote starter. So...what are you trying to do.

I have a problem with my avital 4103 remote starter everytime i try to start try to start my car my car alarm goes off

If this is the factory alarm going off when you remote start the vehicle, the factory disarm wire is not connected. If you would list the year/make/model of the vehicle, I could direct you to the wire.
