Put it on concrete and hit is with a large hammer. The will disable it.

Lifting the handset will disable the headset for that call. Recorder mode records your call.

I believe the ringer volume is low or at minimal or turned off, that's why you don't here any ring. Try this; press the arrow (left and right or up and down button) on the phone constantly. This should increase the ring volume if actually it is low. Or, call the phone with another line, while the comdial digitech 7714s is ringing and press the arrow buttons without picking up the phone.

Try this as well;

1. Press optionS
2. NEXT (twice)
3. RING
4. Then UP or DOWN to choose a ring tone
5. Press SPEAKER to set.

Sounds to me like a microphone issue. Try contacting the Cellular Dr./ Cell Phone Dr. , or Cell Phone Repair.com. They both do excellent work as far as cellular phones go. hit the options jey till you get to dss then press the button you want to program and then enter the exstension number you want it to be and then when finished press speaker button

while paging is going on hit the volume button once it is where you want it hit itcm **7 to save the volime setting

if it is more than 6 extensions you need a call group

Try press ICM button # 3 and the ext number of that phone

Sounds like your system defaulted. Only a few phones ring at system default and you may not have those ports connected. First, you need to figure out which Comdial Impact system you have. The phone will work on a few different Comdial systems. Find the main box and get a model number from that. You'll have to tackle re-programming ringing yourself or pay a local company to do it. If you do it yourself you will need the "programming and installation" manual specific for your system. A "user guide" will be of no use to you. You can search the net for "Comdial Digitech, Impact & Impression Programming & Installation Manual" Next, I would suggest a UPS backup for your system so this does not happen again. Unless you have a large carded system with dozens of phones, your phones require less power than a typical computer so a UPS made for a computer will be fine. The system will default either when the system memory battery goes too low or I have seen a few cases where power fluctuations will cause it (like when the power goes on-off-on-off rapidly in a storm) either way a UPS system with surge protection will help.
